Ad Astra Starts Championship Season on High Note

 

MAL Championships

 

With 60 swimmers competing for Ad Astra, we had a strong showing in Lawrence.

 

For some swimmers this was their last meet of the season- all the hard work they put in over the 6 months paid off! One interesting fact for the weekend was that all 14 and under swimmers went at least a best time and several swimmers swam all personal best times!

 

The relays were a highlight of the weekend for AAAA. It was great to see Ad Astra having multiple relays. We were able to have relays in all ages and gender.

 

Brand New Division 1 and Division 2 Times:

 

Kiran Cordes- Division 2 time in 50 Free

Elijah Florence- Division 1 time in the 100 fly and 200 fly

Lanie Whitehill- Division 1 time in the 50 breaststroke

Ava Cormaney- Division 1 time in the 100 breaststroke, Division 2 in the 200IM, D2 in the 200 Free

Morgan Jones- Division 1 time in the 500 Free

Evan Eskilson- Division 1 time in the 500 Free and Division 1 time in the 400 IM

Oliver Tillinghast- Division 1 time in the 500 Free and Division 2 time in the 200IM

Brittan Archer- Division 2 time in the 400 IM

Darian Gordon- Division 2 time in the 100 Free

Justin Lee- Division 2 time in the 100 Breaststroke

Adin Florence- D2 time in the 200 Free

 

Matt Reimer and Kiran Cordes were the swimmers of the meet. These two athletes were always smiling, cheering on their teammates, and swam all best times. They had great spirits the whole weekend.
