Swimmers Achieve AAA Times at Rose Memorial

Over 30 athletes competed at the Rose Memorial swim meet in Lee's Summit on May 17-19^th. This was our second long course meet of the season without training long course meters. Our team did exceptionally well and several swimmers went above and beyond. 

There was huge improve from Voorhees Maxfield. The improvements were seen in overall endurance, better finishes, and racing strategy. Coach Patrick said he thoroughly enjoyed coaching all swimmers and it brought him back to his Age group coaching years. He specifically commented on the connections and coaching moments with the athletes.

This meet was slightly different- each athlete received a participation gift rather than ribbons. We did have several swimmers finish in the Top 8, and we had a great showing for Ad Astra.

We did have some highlight races where swimmers achieved AAA times. To achieve this time standard in May is a great reflection of the training and work the athletes have put in.
