Ad Astra Shines in the Little Apple
Ad Astra Shines in the Little Apple
We had a great turnout for our first meet of the season in Manhattan. With 40 athletes Ad Astra came to race. We were the second largest team behind the host team- Manhattan Marlins. During the meet, each heat was filled with Ad Astra silver caps taking first and second and third. The events were run fastest to slowest and Ad Astra won more than half of all the events offered.
This was the first travel meet for some of our stars and comets swimmers and they handled the adversity of a new pool like professionals!
Some highlights included individual wins from 8 and under Halle Mccullough, 9-10 Payton Krug, 13-14 Ava Cormaney, 11-12 Ainsley Krug, 9-10 JT Amrein, 11-12 Marian Frick, and 11-12 Evan Dusselier.
Our best time collections were at an all time high as a team!

Another highlight came in our coaching. We were lucky to have Coach Robin at the meet- as this was his first travel meet coaching and the athletes loved it.
Our next meet will be the Trunk or Treat Meet and then the Tsunami Fall-Round Up. Please sign up online. See you there!
