Fall Round Up Recap
This past weekend we had great racing in Independence. It was a great warm-up meet for our upcoming meet in Columbia. We had 30 plus swimmers compete. We had the fastest 9-10 Boy, 9-10 Girl, and 11-12 Boy at the meet. JT Amrein and Payton Krug won all of their events that they competed in this weekend. Josh Florence won over 90% of his races while achieving AAA Times standards.
The purpose of the meet was served by racing, learning more about our stroke technique, and competing in several races in a short time period. We were able to refine our skills by watching race footage on Sunday. The swimmers really enjoyed seeing themselves race and use video as feedback for their technique.
All of our 12 and Under swimmers swam personal best times. We had swimmers dropping 5-10 seconds in some races. A shout out to our two 8 and under swimmers: Karsyn Robertson and Giuliano Lule-Paredes. It’s always fun watching 25-yard races.
Update on Swimming across the United States:
After this weekend of meets in the country, Josh Florence is Quad A’s only swimmer in the Top 20. His 500 Free is 20th among 12 year olds. Congrats!
Meets in the Future:
Please sign up for the Midwest Qualifier – We will be hosting this meet on December 7th and 8th. We encourage all to attend within the time standards!
