Midwest Qualifier Recap
Not only did Ad Astra do a phenomenal job of hosting the Midwest Qualifier- we did just as well in the water. We had 44 athletes compete in the meet with many swimmers achieving new time standards. There were 514 total swimmers in the meet. We had seven swimmers achieve the ‘A’ Time Standard in an event qualifying them for the Midwest Classic this upcoming weekend.

Swimmers were rewarded over the weekend with Ad Astra Bucks for best times, qualifying time standards and for competing in the races. Let’s just say- we had over 150 best times as a team and several new qualifiers for Championship meets in February. The improvements in stroke technique, endurance, and finishing races was easy to notice as Ad Astra Swimmers were winning heats right and left. Our presence was seen in the water and on deck.
