Ad Astra Goes Above and Beyond in 2012 Swim-A-Thon
Quad A reached another milestone this year as we raised $9448 total for the 2012 Swim-A-Thon. This was a total team effort and a huge congrats to the swimmers that participated in the event. It is remarkable to see 70 athletes come together and make a difference for the team in such a positive way. Our team goal was $7000, and we surpassed that as well as last years total of $7500.
I also want to thank all of the parents that helped in preparation for the Swim-A-Thon. For those that donated for the team brunch- it could not have happened without you! I truly appreciate the generosity and kindness.
During the Swim-A-Thon, it was rewarding to watch so many swimmers achieve their goals of swimming 100 or 200 lengths. We had 57 swimmers complete 200 lengths. Congrats to those comets and asteroid swimmers that completed 200 lengths for the first time. We had 7 swimmers complete 100 lengths. We also had a few Star Swimmers participate and are very proud of their effort in the Swim-A-Thon. These swimmers will be awarded with a pin and certificate at our Swim-A-Thon Awards Ceremony later this month.
