All-Star Recap

This past weekend featured great performances by 7 AAAA swimmers at the Annual Midwest All-Stars Meet here in Lawrence.  The competition traveled from near and far as our LSC, Missouri Valley Swimming, took second to Colorado.  Midwestern, Iowa and South Dakota rounded out the top 5 teams. The following swimmers participated in the meet.  Here is how they did:

Payton Krug

Payton had an outstanding meet, finishing second in the highpoint standings by 1 point!  She posted a ton of best times and was part of a first place relay and a first place finish in the 100 Backstroke.  She placed top 8 in all of the events she swam.

Payton also set team records in the 100 Breaststroke (1:21.22), 100 Backstroke (1:09.22) and 100 Butterfly (1:09.70).

Ainsley Krug

Ainsley competed in a full load of events and placed top 3 in two individual swims, the 100 Backstroke and the 500 Freestyle - great accomplishments.  She placed top 8 in all but one of the events she swam.

Marian Frick

Marian swam both of the Breaststroke events and placed top 8 in both. 

She set a team record in the 50 Breaststroke (33.72).

Morgan Jones

This was Morgan’s first All-Star Meet.  She swam in the 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke and 500 Freestyle events.

Claire Campbell

Claire is no stranger to the All-Star Meet.  She had top 3 finish in the 100 Freestyle and another top 8 in her 50 Freestyle. 

Claire set team records in the 200 Backstroke (2:11.00) and 100 Freestyle (53.74).

Daniel Christie

Danny posted four top 8 finishes in the 200 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 400 IM and the 100 Freestyle.  His 13-14 Boys Relay team set a New Meet Record by over 3 seconds.

Danny set a team record in the 100 Freestyle (50.67).

Evan Eskilson

Evan swam 3 events and took 8th in the 100 Backstroke for team Missouri Valley.
