Another Reason to Celebrate Our Success

The official results are in for the 2013 Swim-A-Thon and boy did AAAA rock!  Our team was 8^th place in the 75-150-swimmer team division.  This is our highest national finish ever and one we should be very proud of.  A big congrats to all who contributed and participated.  We could not have done this without you.  Also, thank you to Katie for organizing such a successful campaign.  We do not take your efforts for granted.  We will celebrate the individual awards winners for our team at the Annual Golden Goggle Awards in April.  Please share this news item with your friends and families who helped contribute. 

We already know that some of these funds will be used to help with our team travel costs this summer as we head to Lincoln for our third year in a row; but we also have another surprise for everyone on our team.  We have purchased a TV and rolling-stand to use at the pool.  This tool can be used in all groups for educational instruction, video critiquing and DVD lessons at the pool.  We hope to start using this during our Double Bonusweek here in the off-season.

Speaking of Double Bonus, we are still looking at the March dates for this mini-session.  Be on the lookout for sign-up online.

Lastly, we will have our final Ad Astra buck party of the season on March 4^th from 6-7:30pm at the LIAC.  This will be a fun time to get back together in our off-season.  The Eclipse, Asteroids, Comets and Stars are all invited to attend.  We invite each family to bring their favorite treat to the party to share.

Good luck to all of our athletes at their Championship competitions.  Mark your calendars for the beginning of our Spring-Summer season as Tuesday, April 1^st.
