Banks Swims to Four Best Times in Irvine

Banks Anderson represented Ad Astra and Lawrence, KS with great swims at Junior Nationals in Irvine, CA this past week. He swam to four lifetime bests and won 3 of the heats he competed in. All his swims were team records and under the Summer Jr. National time standard.

On day 1, Banks shaved over 5 seconds off his 1500 time on his way to a top 16 finish.  This was his first time under 16 minutes in the event. On day 2, he swam to a lifetime best in the 400 IM and dipped under the Junior cut for the first time. This was his 5^th time swimming this race on the past 4 weeks, and he saved his best performance for last. On day 3, it was 400 Free time. Banks finished 25^th and won the D final at night with a new US Open cut (3:58.55). This time was the 13^th fastest swam at the meet. On his last day, Banks finished with another new best in the 800 Free with a 21^st place finish. This was his first time coming in under the Summer Junior cut.
