Congratulations to Brittany, Maddie, and Trent There were three winners for Week 2 Swim-A-Thon: Brittany Archer had the highest number of pledges for week two with 9 different pledges/donations. Maddie Dean had 8 different pledges/donations. Trent Hartman had 5 different pledges/donations. Thank you for getting out there and collecting pledges for AAAA!! With only three weeks remaining, we are getting close to Oct 20th for our 3rd Annual Swim-A-Thon. Go AAAA! Check out Week 3 Challenge- It's a Team Challenge this week.

Week 3 Swim-A-Thon Challenge: TEAM CHALLENGE Can WE reach a team total of $2500 of flat donations by Friday? We will combine the total amount of swimmer's flat donation pledges. If we reach $2500 we will have a Pizza Party at practice for all of those signed up for the Swim-A-Thon. I believe too many athletes, parents, and coaches feel that in order to be successful, you have to have a strong, like-minded group with which to train -- or at least one or two solid "training partners". The reasoning behind this thinking has to do with "workout intensity". It's common to believe that a strong group helps raise the workout intensity, to the benefit of an individual in that group. This past weekend, our LSC had our Coaches and House of Delegates Meeting. These meetings take place in the Fall and Spring. For those of you who do not know, I sit on the Executive Board for Missouri Valley as the Age Group Chair. Jolisa does as well, as the LSC Treasurer. The evening before this meeting, I met with our Senior Chair and Coach Representative to talk about the state of our LSC.
