1. What is a Swim‐A‐Thon®? Swim‐a‐Thon® is a fundraiser in which participants earn money for their team by swimming lengths of the pool. Swimmers have a two‐hour period to swim a maximum of 200 lengths. Participants get pledges from businesses, family, neighbors, etc. prior to swimming. Some choose to get pledges and money prior to swimming while others get pledges per length and collect the money following the Swim‐a‐Thon®. Dear AAAA Parents and Families, AAAA will be running a SWIM-A-THON® to help raise money for the club. USA SWIMMING sponsors the SWIM-A-THON® and will help us throughout the process. Dear AAAA Families, We received word from SPA that their meet has to be moved a couple of weeks later due to a facility issue. While this has been a meet that we have planned to attend, the rescheduled date puts it on the same weekend as our Swim-A-Thon. It was such a great pleasure to come back to my home pool in my home town and see such fast swimming by AAAA swimmers in a setting where I used to train and compete myself.
