Each week leading up the Swim-A-Thon we will have weekly challenges. The challenges will keep the swimmers motivated and focused. It will keep them excited and teach them about achieving goals. Dear AAAA Parents and Families, AAAA will be running a SWIM-A-THON® to help raise money for the club. USA SWIMMING sponsors the SWIM-A-THON® and will help us throughout the process. I have attached an informational PDF that explains all of the details. This is not required, but is an event not just about fundraising. 1. What is a Swim‐A‐Thon®? Swim‐a‐Thon® is a fundraiser in which participants earn money for their team by swimming lengths of the pool. Swimmers have a two‐hour period to swim a maximum of 200 lengths. Participants get pledges from businesses, family, neighbors, etc. prior to swimming. Some choose to get pledges and money prior to swimming while others get pledges per length and collect the money following the Swim‐a‐Thon®. Dear AAAA Families, We received word from SPA that their meet has to be moved a couple of weeks later due to a facility issue. While this has been a meet that we have planned to attend, the rescheduled date puts it on the same weekend as our Swim-A-Thon. Due to these circumstances, we will NOT be attending the SPA meet this year. We have added a replacement meet in Kansas City on that original weekend.
