Irvine, Calif. — Emma Reaney and Molly Albrecht of Ad Astra Area Aquatics have performed well at the ConocoPhillips National Championships through Thursday. Reaney placed 106th in the 100 Fly, 92nd in the 200IM, 62nd in the 100 Breaststroke and 77th in the 400IM. Albrecht was 103rd in the 400 Free. Complete Results here
The 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships will be held Aug. 3-7 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif. The event will also serve as trials for numerous events, including the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships to be held in Irvine later in August. Come watch the top swimmers from across the nation rip up the water under the bright California sun. AAAA had a great weekend of swim meets. We had six swimmers (Molly Albrecht, Rachel Buchner, Canaan Campbell, Heather Clark, Kayla Hedges, and Emma Reaney) travel to Columbia for Region VIII Sectionals. Molly placed first in the 200 backstroke and we had many other top 16 individual and relay swims. Our team placed 16th overall with 132 points, which is an outstanding accomplishment during our first season as a club team.
