It is time to get pumped up for D1 Championships here in Lawrence, KS starting Friday morning at the Indoor Aquatic Center! The D2 results from our AAAA athletes have set the bar high for our next championship meet this upcoming weekend. The 22 athletes that competed in D2’s were positive, swam personal best times, qualified for D1's, and achieved AAA time standards. As a coach, it was so rewarding to watch our athletes support one another and come together as a team for every race for every athlete. Sectional Update Summer 2012 We had a very productive meet in Columbia this past week and had fun time swimming well. It is arguably the best sectional meet we have had as a group at AAAA. The high temperatures brought impressive results for AAAA swimmer’s that participated in Wave The Wheat over the past weekend. It was our highest attended meet of the summer and we did a great job representing in our home pool. Congratulations to Danny Christie as he was the Highpoint Winner for the 11-12 Boys. AAAA Takes Home Small Team Champion Title in Lincoln AAAA made a statement in Lincoln at the Capitol City Classic on June 21-24. The 20 swimmers that attended help AAAA take home 1st place for Small Team Division. We finished 4th overall with all teams combined. This achievement is a reflection of the quality swimming that took place in Lincoln. From Lawrence to Lincoln- Meet Preview: 20 AAAA Athletes will head to Lincoln tomorrow to compete against swimmers from 14 different states. This is the premiere age group meet for the Midwest and AAAA is well represented according to the psych sheets. Beach Bash Recap The weather didn't put a damper on AAAA's swimming at the 2012 Beach Bash. We had 40 athletes compete in the meet in Topeka and it was a perfect way to kick off the month of June for competing. This meet was a great training and racing meet.
