A few reminders for this week and beyond... Friday Workout - KU Swim Meet There is NO PRACTICE this Friday -- We are instead attending the KU vs. MU Swim Meet at Robinson Natatorium. The meet starts at 5pm.  Swimmers are invited to make posters at the Frick's House prior to the meet around 4pm.  Please bring some poster board and markers.  Please plan on attending and cheering on the Hawks! Comet Parents and Swimmers: We are still going to celebrate the Comet's success with their Pizza Party on Monday, November 14th. We will swim for the firt 30 minutes and celebrate for the remainder of practice. Sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope to see you all there on Monday.  Go AAAA!

Congratulations Ad Astra Swimmers! We have surpassed our team goal for the Swim-A-Thon® and went above and beyond the expectations. Our total amount raised was $7,570.10. Thank you to all those swimmers that participated in our Swim-A-Thon®. I would like to recognize the swimmers that helped pace the success of our event.  The group that raised the most money was the Comets. The Comets raised $2,552.10. WAY TO GO COMETS!   TRUNK OR TREAT=SUCCESS It was another successful weekend for Ad Astra Swimming. 34 swimmers participated in the Truck or Treat Meet in Topeka. Not only did we enjoy lots of candy, we also had several first time races by new swimmers, best times, and new Division One and Division Two Cuts. Great job this past Saturday at the Spooktacular swim meet AAAA.  Our presence was certainly felt!   We had a ton of impressive veteran swims along with some great first-time swims.  It was great to see all of our early season work pay off.  It was also great to see some of our new athletes in action.  First meets are a great learning tool for swimmers and coaches.  Furthermore, swim meets are the places where coaches learn more about their athletes and what they need to work on.
