AAAA sent its largest group ever and had a strong showing at the 2012 Speedo Sectionals in Jenks, OK. We took 15 athletes to Jenks, OK and competed against 600 top athletes from the Midwest. AAAA Starts Championship Season on High Note at D2's The past two weekends have been filled with fast and fun swimming. AAAA started the championship season on a high note. We had a fantastic finish at Grand Prix.  Katie Price placed top 8 in her 200 Breaststroke and lowered her previous best in this event to a 2:33.83 on the day.  What a fantastic accomplishment!  Carrah Haley had an in-season best swim in her 100 Backstroke of 1:07.68.  Eric Sparks finished with 2 best times in the 50 Free, 24.95, and 100 Free, 54.55. It was a great weekend for Ad Astra in Columbia -- every team member has reason to be proud!  Go AAAA!

Our very own Katie Price swam her 100 Breaststroke in a time of 1:11.96 this morning at the Missouri Grand Prix meet. This time qualifies her for the Olympic Trials, alongside her 200 Breaststroke event. Way to go Katie!  Log on to USA Swimming to see her tonight at 6:02pm in the consolation finals heat.

  Christie, Venters lead AAAA at All-Star Meet   Seven AAAA Swimmers joined Missouri Valley Swimming in the Midwest 2012 All-Star Meet here in Lawrence, Kansas. Daniel Christie was our top finisher, as he took home four medals. Danny was a member of the MV 11-12 Boys 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays that won gold.
