From Lawrence to Lincoln- Meet Preview: 20 AAAA Athletes will head to Lincoln tomorrow to compete against swimmers from 14 different states. This is the premiere age group meet for the Midwest and AAAA is well represented according to the psych sheets. Beach Bash Recap The weather didn't put a damper on AAAA's swimming at the 2012 Beach Bash. We had 40 athletes compete in the meet in Topeka and it was a perfect way to kick off the month of June for competing. This meet was a great training and racing meet. Several of our elite and eclipse athletes used their races to gain experience, work on details, and practice racing in poor weather conditions. Our two Olympic hopefuls had fun checking out the Trials pool this past weekend. Both Katie and Molly turned in great performances and we had a blast seeing the great facility. Molly was top 8 in the 200 back while Katie was top 16 in her 100 breast. Early Bird Recap AAAA continued to swim personal best times, qualify for D2’s and D1’s, and qualify for Zones and Speedo Sectionals as we competed at the Early Bird Meet on Mother’s Day Weekend. 21 AAAA athletes participated in the meet with 600 other athletes from around the area.
