Sorry for getting this out late!  Please make plans to try and attend this great weekend about your chosen sport. Missouri Valley is hosting a Swimposium for all swimmers, parents, coaches, and officials in our LSC. Please join us for this excellent opportunity to learn, meet new people, and pledge ourselves to improving our LSC for our athletes’ benefit. In addition to some regular business meetings, the weekend is organized into “tracks”. Generally, there are no costs to attend these tracks, but we will have a catered lunch. See below...

Our squad of 32 swimmers put on an awesome display of swimming and poured their hearts out during the three-day event.   We took first place in the Medium Team Division and fourth overall.  This is an especially impressive accomplishment for us this year as the majority of our Sectional level athletes did not participate in a full slate if events or at all at this meet.  Way to go AAAA!  We continue to impress with our great group of athletes in just our 4th year as a team.  ...

Congrats to Emma Reaney for setting the American Record in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:04.34.  We are so proud of you.   For some pictures and a video of the race, click here.

The official results are in for the 2013 Swim-A-Thon and boy did AAAA rock!  Our team was 8th place in the 75-150-swimmer team division.  This is our highest national finish ever and one we should be very proud of.  A big congrats to all who contributed and participated.  We could not have done this without you.  Also, thank you to Katie for organizing such a successful campaign.  We do not take your efforts for granted.  We will celebrate the individual awards winners for our team at the Annual Golden Goggle...

Whenever a team goes to a meet that is scored as a team competition and your team does well – it is a big deal.  It’s an even bigger deal when over 88% of those athletes who contributed to the total point count at the meet were 14 and under.  It’s an even bigger deal when the second place team is 430 points behind you.  We are headed in the right direction Ad Astra… and our future continues to be bright.    1  Ad Astra Area Aquatics      ...

We had a very successful December and capped it off with a great trip to the Oklahoma City Pro-Am Swim Meet.  AAAA swimmers were able to mingle with professional athletes at a meet that saw 10 new records fall.  Highlights included a stunning 1:41.79 in the 200 IM by Darian Townsend (9th fastest time ever) and a rare 18.9 by Josh Schneider in the 50 Freestyle Shoot-Out.  AAAA swimmers set 16 new team records in OKC.  It was by far and away the best meet we ever had there as...
